As the largest dry bulk unloading facility in Southeast Asia, Lekir Bulk Terminal is capable of accommodating Panamax and Capemax vessels weighing up to 165,000 DWT. The facility includes a 2,028m long approach trestle that supports three import conveyors, a small boat berth for tugs and line boats, and a single-lane roadway.
Lekir Bulk Terminal operates 24/7, 365 days a year, and has two berths, the South Berth and the North Berth, with lengths of 530m and 250m, respectively. The terminal’s state-of-the-art facilities, including three ship unloaders with a maximum design capacity of 4,000 mt/hour, ensure that goods are transported quickly and efficiently. The terminal also boasts an integrated transfer station system with alternative routing capabilities and allows for direct transshipment at berth, with an estimated transshipment capacity of between 1,200 MT – 1,400 MT/hour.
Compliant with the International Ship Port Security (ISPS) code, Lekir Bulk Terminal is a dedicated terminal that handles coal for Station Janakuasa Sultan Azlan Shah (TNBJ) in Seri Manjung.
